This master thesis deals with philosophical questions of colonialism, religion and economics in children's adventurous novel Robinson Crusoe. Daniel Defoe is one of the most significant writers of the world who wrote his work in the 17th and 18th century, and this novel is the most famous work in English as well as world literature. The novel is about the man who ended up on a desert island with an unfortunate fate and had to adjust to the conditions of survival away from the civilization. The main character Robinson, through his internal struggles and describing the external characteristics of the place where he is, introduces into the literature a reality that has never been there before. Robinson is portrayed as a colonizer of the island, as well as all of those on the island, and his desire to possess space, objects and living beings is evident. His attitude towards religion is evident in hopeless situations, because when all is well, he doesn't need God, and during the first tribulation he invokes him. Robinson's relationship to money is a relationship to something worthless and the question often arises as to what the vaule of money really is. Mentioning colonialism, religion and economics, with quotations and descriptions from the novel, this thesis attempts to answer some of the philosophical questions that arise in the work.
