Abstract Etnokoreolog dr. Ivan Ivančan temeljem postavljene podijeljenosti etnografskog
područja profesora Milovana Gavazzija nastavlja proučavanje i istraživanje folklora
prema četirima plesnim zonama: alpskoj, jadranskoj, dinarskoj i panonskoj.
Etnokoreologija u Hrvatskoj postaje poznata i istraživana tek dolaskom Ivančana 1954.
godine, a svojim umjetničkim i znanstvenim radom postaje poznat hrvatskoj javnosti više
voditelju, koreografu i organizatoru ciklusa seminara „Dječje folklorno stvaralaštvo i
prenosi autentične izvore i znanje usmenom i pismenom predajom.
etnografskim područjima: jadranskom i panonskom. Opisuje scensku primjenu folklora
razdoblje: brojalice, rugalice, uspavanke, dječje igre s pjevanjem, dječji plesovi i šetana
istraživanja pokazuju nedovoljnu istraženost folklornih izvora i tradicijskog načina života
i obrazovanje.
Abstract (english) Ethnochoreologist dr. Ivan Ivančan based on the division of the ethnographic area of
Professor Milovan Gavazzi, continues to study and research folklore according to four
dance zones: Alpine, Adriatic, Dinaric and Pannonian. Ethnochoreology in Croatia
became known and researched only with the arrival of Ivančan in 1954, and with its
artistic and scientific work it became known to the Croatian public for more than half a
century. He has written and published numerous books that have encouraged his
colleagues to continue researching an area about which little is known. The most
deserving person for nurturing children's folklore from an early age went to Goran
Knežević, artistic director, choreographer and organizer of the seminar cycle "Children's
folklore creation and application of folklore in working with children", which is just one
of the seminars where Knežević conveys authentic sources and knowledge from both oral
and written submissions. This work represents a description of folk dance, structure and
style, and the division of children's folk dances according to two ethnographic areas: the
Adriatic and the Pannonian. It describes the stage application of folklore in working with
children and the variety of folklore forms that are suitable for the preschool period:
counting games, mockery, lullabies, children's singing games, children's dances and
walking or singing carts. It emphasizes the influence of folk costumes and traditional
clothing and shows the diversity of customs, culture, traditions according to the broader
form that includes dance zones and the narrower that refers to the application of dance in
villages and surrounding places. Previous research shows insufficient research of folklore
sources and traditional way of life, which can be seen in the literature: the richer cultivated
area belongs to the Pannonian dance zone, while significantly less material is available
on the Adriatic. Further professional and scientific research is needed on the valuable
traditional heritage that deserves to be at the highest level of appreciation and respect for
cultural awareness and its expression, which is emphasized by the document National
Curriculum for Early and Preschool Education.
