Inclusion of children with special educational needs in early and preschool institution This paper aims to investigate how much the works on inclusive upbringing and education of children of early and preschool age have been promoted in the Scopus database. This has been done by reviewing the following: papers in the Scopus database and researching dates of pubication, journals the papers were published, geographical representation of the authors, participants and their age, sample size, keywords used by the authors and research goals of these works. The goal is to show which works in the period from 2016 to 2021 in the Scopus database explore the topic of inclusion of children with special educational needs in early and preschool education institutions according to certain criteria. The paper investigates the amount of scientific papers that promote, inform and research inclusive education in early and preschool education institutions. The method used was a systematic review of the literature in the Scopus database. The criteria were as follows: the paper must be recent, it must correspond to the topic of this research, it must contain the keyword inclusion, all the data needed for the research must be visible in the Scopus database. 20 works from 2016 to 2021 were selected. The main results of the work are the following: most works were published in 2018, while 2016 and 2019 published the least number of articles; the category of the journal inclusive education is the category in which the papers were mostly published; the authors of the works are from 17 countries around the world, most of them being from Sweden; article is the most common type of paper; the most common goals of the research are to examine the attitudes of educators towards the inclusion of children with special educational needs in early and preschool education institutions; according to the goals, the most common pattern is the educator; only 1 article out of all 20 papers (5%) includes the age of the sample, but only 3 articles have a child for the sample. The results show that one third of the total examined articles were associated with the research area of inclusive education in early and preschool education institutions.
