Abstract Radio je medij nastao početkom 20. stoljeća te ga pojavom televizije, a zatim i interneta, svrstavamo u tradicionalne medije. U ovom radu opisan je razvoj radija počevši od Kanade, gdje je u eter prvi put emitirana instrumentalna verzija pjesme Tiha noć, do Zagreba, gdje je osnovan Radio Zagreb, prva radijska postaja u Hrvatskoj. Pojavom interneta dolazi do velikih promjena u jeziku te se govori o podjeli medija na tradicionalne i suvremene. Međutim, promjene se događaju i u jezika radija jer počinje poprimati karakteristike internetskog jezika. Jedan od ciljeva ovoga rada jest istražiti kako i u kolikoj mjeri suvremeni mediji utječu na tradicionalni medij. Nadalje, u radu su predstavljene glavne karakteristike jezika medija koji bi se trebao temeljiti na obilježjima publicističko-novinarskog stila. S obzirom na to da je glavni cilj publicističko-novinarskog stila prenijeti jasnu i razumljivu obavijest, očekuje se da će se publicisti pridržavati norme kako bi mogli utjecati na jezičnu svijest slušatelja, ali i pokazati da mediji njeguju standardni jezik. Ovaj rad temelji se na istraživanju regionalnog i nacionalnog radija koje će pokazati obilježja jezika ovih radija te će se uočiti i utjecaj društvenih mreža kao što su WhatsApp, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram. Naglasak je na odnosu društvenih mreža i radija, stoga je potrebno istaknuti da društvene mreže otvaraju radiju niz novih mogućnosti tako što mu služe kao komunikacijsko sredstvo te omogućuju slušatelju preslušavanje i gledanje sadržaja, što u prošlosti nije bilo moguće. Radio Dalmacija i Hrvatski radio razlikuju se u razini na kojoj emitiraju (regionalnoj i nacionalnoj), što dovodi i do razlike u jeziku (splitski idiom i hrvatski standardni jezik). Komparativnom analizom uočen je utjecaj društvenih mreža na oba radija, ponajviše u zabavnim emisijama, što znači da oba radija podliježu novim, suvremenijim načinima iznošenja sadržaja.
Abstract (english) Radio is a medium created at the beginning of the 20th century and is with the advent of television and then the Internet, classified as traditional media. This thesis describes the development of radio starting from Canada, where the instrumental version of 'Silent Night' was first broadcast, to Zagreb where Radio Zagreb, the first radio station in Croatia, was founded. The advent of the Internet sparks major changes in language and conversation of dividing the media into traditional and contemporary media. However, changes are also taking place in the language of radio, as it begins to acquire the characteristics of the language of the Internet. One of the aims of this thesis is to research how and to what extent contemporary media influence traditional media. Furthermore, this thesis presents the main characteristics of media language which should be based on characteristics of publicist and newspaper styles. Given that the main aim of both publicist and newspaper styles is to convey clear and understandable notice it is expected that publicists will adhere to language norm in order to influence the listeners’ language awareness and show that the media cultivate standardised language. This thesis is based on research of regional and national radio, it will show the characteristics of the language of these radios, and it will also observe the influence social media such as WhatsApp, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram. The emphasis is on the relationship of social media and radio, therefore it is necessary to note that social media introduce a number of new possibilities for radio by serving as a means of communication and enabling the audience to simultaneously listen to and watch content, which was not possible in the past. Radio Dalmacija and Croatian Radio differ in the level at which they broadcast (regional and national), which also leads to a difference in language (Split idiom and standardized Croatian language). A comparative analysis shows the influence of social media on both radios, mostly in entertainment shows, which means that both radios are subject to new, more modern ways of broadcasting content.
