Abstract | Svrha ovog istraživanja bila je dati uvid u stavove građanki i građana Splita o seksualizaciji i objektivizaciji ženskog tijela u medijskom okruženju, poslovnim i partnerskim odnosima kao i u javnom prostoru. Osim stavova nastojala se istražiti (ne)pristunost navedenih koncepata u konkretnim odnosima između muškaraca i žena, te na koji način muškarci doživljavaju ženu i njezino tijelo u kontekstu, javnog i privatnog prostora. Istraživanje se sastojalo od dva dijela. Prvi dio istraživanja bilo je kvantitativno istraživanje koje je za cilj imalo ispitati stav mladih Splićanki i Splićana. U anketnom istraživanju konstruirana je skala kojom su se mjerili stavovi o seksualizaciji i objektivizaciji ženskog tijela. Radi potreba testiranja pouzdanosti skale koja se dalje koristila u anketnom upitniku prvo je provedeno pilot istraživanje u kojem je sudjelovalo trideset ispitanika, šesnaest žena i četrnaest muškaraca u dobi od 18 do 34 godine života na području grada Splita. Nakon testiranja pouzdanosti skale, nastavilo se sa anketnim istraživanjem u kojem je sudjelovalo 385 (N=385) punoljetnih mladih građanki građana Splita. Podaci su u oba istraživanja prikupljeni face-to-face metodom i obrađeni su u IBMSPSS računalnom programu. Drugi dio istraživanja bio je kvalitativan gdje se nastojalo odgovoriti na pitanje Je li objektivizacija prisutna u stavovima i ponašanjima muškaraca? Ovdje su se kao metoda prikupljanja podataka koristili face-to-face intervjui s mladim muškarcima grada Splita, gdje su se ispitivala prisutnost seksualizacije i objektivizacije u partnerskim odnosima, kao i njihov pogled na ženu i žensko tijelo u javnom i medijskom prostoru i poslovnom okruženju. Prikupljeno je ukupno 8 (N=8) intervjua. |
Abstract (english) | Purpose of this research was to provide an insight into the attitudes of the citizens of Split regarding the sexualization and objectification of the female body in the media environment, business and partner relationships, as well as in public space. In addition to attitudes, an effort was made to investigate the (in)existence of the mentioned concepts in concrete relationships between men and women, and how men perceive a woman and her body in the context of public and private space. The research consisted of two parts. The first part of the research was a quantitative research aimed at examining the attitude of young women and men from Split. In the survey, a scale was constructed to measure attitudes about the sexualization and objectification of the female body. In order to test the reliability of the scale that was further used in the questionnaire, a pilot study was first conducted in which thirty respondents, sixteen women and fourteen men, aged between 18 and 34, participated in the city of Split. After testing the reliability of the scale, the survey continued, in which 385 (N=385) young adult citizens of Split participated. In both studies, the data were collected using the face-to-face method and were processed in the IBMSPSS computer program. The second part of the research was qualitative, where an attempt was made to answer the question: Is objectification present in the attitudes and behaviors of men? Here, face-to-face interviews with young men of the city of Split were used as a data collection method, where the presence of sexualization and objectification in partner relationships, as well as their view of women and the female body in the public and media space and business environment, were examined. A total of 8 (N=8) interviews were collected. |
