Emerging adulthood is the period between 18 and 25 years of age which implies a gradual transition to adulthood. There are numerous factors that influence how students will experience this period and the changes it brings with it. The aim of this research was to examine how some of these factors: gender, socioeconomic status, living with parents, resilience to stress and social support from family and friends, predict the psychological well-being of Croatian students. 541 students between the ages of 18 and 25 who are currently studying in the Republic of Croatia participated in the study (M = 21.5, SD = 1.92; 50.5% female participants). The research was conducted online, and the participants filled out the sociodemographic questionnaire, the Life Satisfaction Scale, the Positive and Negative Experiences Scale, the Short Resilience Scale and the Social Support Scale. The results indicate an above-average psychological well-being of Croatian students. By conducting three hierarchical regression analyses in three steps, it was determined that sociodemographic characteristics (10.1%), resilience to stress (10.5%) and social support from family and friends (10.5%) statistically significantly explain the variance in life satisfaction; resilience to stress (16.1%) and social support from family and friends (11.4%) statistically significantly explain the variance of positive experiences, and sociodemographic characteristics (3.5%), resilience to stress (16.1%) and social support from family and friends (2.9%) statistically significantly explain the variance of negative experiences. Female participants, those with a higher socioeconomic status, more resilient to stress and those who perceive greater support from family and friends report greater life satisfaction. Participants more resilient to stress and with greater perceived support have more positive experiences, while participants more resilient to stress and with greater estimated family support have fewer negative experiences.
