Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad obrađuje temu ekonomije i društva na otoku Braču između dva svjetska rata. Rad obrađuje problematiku Agrarne reforme i Velike financijske krize na području kraljevine Jugoslavije s ciljem objašnjavanja ekonomskih i društvenih promjena koje su uslijedile na otoku Braču u ovome periodu. Rad se bavi većinski neistraženom temom ekonomije jednog od najvećih hrvatskih otoka i društvenih promjena koje su nastale na otoku kao posljedica tih ekonomskih promjena. Kao osnova rada koristi se arhivska građa Državnog arhiva u Splitu i Brački zbornici.
Abstract (english)
This thesis addresses the topic of the economy and society on the island of Brač between the two World Wars. The paper examines the issues of Agrarian Reform and the Great Financial Crisis in the area of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, with the aim of explaining the economic and social changes that followed on the island of Brač during this period. The work deals with a largely unexplored topic of the economy of one of the largest Croatian islands and the social changes that resulted on the island as a consequence of these economic changes. The basis of the work relies on archival materials from the State Archive in Split and the Brač Proceedings.
