In the postmodern world, social and educational challenges have never come faster. School reforms were often unsucessful in their endeavor to follow the new life possibilities and demands of society. The alienation of the individual from society, lack of faith in education and the subordination of humanities and social sciences to STEM sciences have resulted in education that is not in tune with the needs of new generations of children and young people. Through this paper, I will try to answer the question "How to respond to the demands of postmodern schooling and education in the spirit of realism, holistic development and post-critical pedagogy?" and offer my own solution based on the assumptions of post-critical pedagogy, utopianism, active citizenship, theories of creativity, extracurricular activities and others. In addition to the above, the large problem of overcrowding of schools in some cities of the Republic of Croatia greatly hinders the normal functioning of the school and the education system. As a solution, I offer the concept of Practicum - an institution that would encourage entrepreneurship, creativity and a sense of community at the same time providing time and space relief for schools, active, educational and fun leisure time for children and finally raising the level of education in the Republic of Croatia to a new, post-modern and post-critical level with respect to the future. This humanistic revolution would thus lead to innovations for the human heart and soul and transform people into active and critical subjects of the world and society so that together we can find new ways towards the harmony of objective, technological reality and spiritual, emotional and subjective reality.
