Abstract
Rad se bavi analizom utjecaja Goetheova Fausta na Bulgakovljev roman Majstor i Margarita. Nastavljajući se na poveznice između dvaju djela na koje ukazuje epigraf iz romana te koje u svojim radovima ističe ruska književna teoretičarka Marietta Čudakova, u radu se analiziraju sličnosti i razlike između Mefista i Wolanda, Fausta i majstora te Gretchen i Margarite. Također, analizira se prizor Valpurgine noći koji u Faustu predstavlja oživljavanje svega okultnog i demonskog, a isto tako analizira se i poglavlje Veliki bal kod Sotone u Majstoru i Margariti te način na koji se u tom poglavlju susreću stvarni svijet i podzemno carstvo mrtvih. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na analizu crne mise koja u Bulgakovljevu romanu predstavlja najvažniji dio bala kod Sotone te na mit o Sotoni i Kristu i prikaz toga mita u romanu.
Abstract (english)
This paper explores the influence of Goethe's Faust on Bulgakov's novel The Master and Margarita. By continuing the links between the two works indicated by the epigraph from the novel and highlighted in her works by the Russian literary theorist Marietta Chudakova, this paper analyzes the similarities and differences between Mephisto and Woland, Faust and the master, and Gretchen and Margarita. The scene of Walpurgisnacht, which in Faust represents the return of everything that's occult and demonic, is also analysed, as is the chapter Satan's Great Ball from The Master and Margarita and the merging of the real world and the underground world of the dead which occurs in that chapter. Special emphasis is placed on the analysis of the black mass, which, in Bulgakov's novel, represents the most important part of Satan's ball, and on the analysis of the myth about Satan and Christ and the depiction of that myth in the novel.
