Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad analizira složene političke, kulturne i društvene čimbenike koji su oblikovali rusko-češke odnose tijekom razdoblja Praškog proljeća, kada je Čehoslovačka pokušala provesti liberalne političke reforme unutar tadašnjeg socijalističkog sustava, poznate kao 'Socijalizam s ljudskim licem'. Razmatraju se političke promjene unutar Čehoslovačke i njenog odnosa s Sovjetskim Savezom nakon smjene vlasti, uključujući uvođenje višestranačja, veće političke slobode te decentralizaciju vlasti. Ove promjene predstavljale su izazov za dosadašnju dominaciju Sovjetskog saveza nad istočnoeuropskim zemljama, što je rezultiralo napetošću u njihovim odnosima. Osim političkih aspekata istražuju se i reakcije društva na te promjene, kao što su prosvjedi mladih i podrška radničkih sindikata demokratskim strujanjima. U tom periodu bitne su i kulturne promjene koje su kao rezultat kulturne liberalizacije obuhvaćale ukidanje stroge cenzure, širenje umjetničke slobode i otvaranje kulturne scene prema zapadu. Kroz proučavanje ovih čimbenika, rad ima za cilj bolje razumijevanje naslijeđa Praškog proljeća i njegovog utjecaja na kasnije političke procese u Istočnoj Europi.
Abstract (czech)
Tato práce analyzuje složité politické, kulturní a společenské faktory, které formovaly rusko-české vztahy během období Pražského jara, kdy se Československo pokusilo provést liberální politické reformy v rámci tehdejšího socialistického systému, známé jako 'Socialismus s lidskou tváří'. Zkoumají se politické změny uvnitř Československa a jeho vztah se Sovětským svazem po změně vlády, včetně zavedení pluralitního politického systému, větší politické svobody a decentralizace vlády. Tyto změny představovaly výzvu pro dosavadní dominanci Sovětského svazu nad zeměmi východní Evropy, což vedlo k napětí ve vzájemných vztazích. Kromě politických aspektů jsou zkoumány i reakce společnosti na tyto změny, jako například protesty mládeže a podpora odborů demokratickým proudům. V tomto období byly důležité také kulturní změny, které v důsledku kulturní liberalizace zahrnovaly zrušení přísné cenzury, rozšíření umělecké svobody a otevření kulturní scény směrem k Západu. Prostřednictvím zkoumání těchto faktorů si práce klade za cíl lépe porozumět odkazu Pražského jara a jeho vlivu na pozdější politické procesy ve východní Evropě.
Abstract (english)
This thesis analyses the complex political, cultural, and social factors that shaped Russian-Czech relations during the period of the Prague Spring, when Czechoslovakia attempted to implement liberal political reforms within the then socialist system, known as 'Socialism with a Human Face'. It examines the political changes within Czechoslovakia and its relationship with the Soviet Union following the change of government, including the introduction of multi-party politics, greater political freedoms, and the decentralization of government. These changes posed a challenge to the Soviet Union's previous dominance over Eastern European countries, leading to tensions in their relations. In addition to the political aspects, the thesis explores societal reactions to these changes, such as youth protests and the support of workers unions for democratic movements. During this period, cultural changes were also significant and as the result of cultural liberalization included the abolition of strict censorship, the expansion of artistic freedom and the opening of the cultural scene to the West. Through the study of these factors, the thesis aims to better understand the legacy of the Prague Spring and its impact on later political processes in Eastern Europe.
