Abstract
Muzej hrvatskih arheoloških spomenika u Splitu predstavlja ključnu instituciju u očuvanju i interpretaciji hrvatske kulturne baštine. Njegov postanak i arhitektura rezultat su dugog procesa u kojem su se preplitale kulturne, političke i društvene promjene u Hrvatskoj. Kroz analizu povijesti muzeja i povijesne muzeologije, istražuju se utjecaji različitih arhitektonskih stilova i muzeoloških trendova koji su oblikovali njegov današnji izgled. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na ulogu muzeja u nacionalnoj svijesti te na način kako arhitektura muzeja odražava povijesni kontekst i identitet. Razmatraju se i izazovi s kojima se muzej suočava u kontekstu modernih muzeoloških praksi i očuvanja baštine.
Abstract (english)
The Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments in Split is a key institution in the preservation and interpretation of Croatian cultural heritage. Its origin and architecture are the result of a long process intertwined with cultural, political, and social changes in Croatia. Through the analysis of the museum's history and historical museology, this study explores the influences of various architectural styles and museological trends that have shaped its present form. Special emphasis is placed on the museum's role in national consciousness and how its architecture reflects the historical context and identity. The challenges the museum faces in the context of modern museological practices and heritage preservation are also considered.
