Abstract
Poremećaji štitnjače javljaju se često i dominantno su ženske bolesti. Unatoč tome, rijetka su istraživanja na temu kvalitete života oboljelih od bolesti štitnjače. Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati prediktivnost prihvaćanja bolesti, percipiranog stresa i socijalne podrške u procjeni kvalitete života vezane uz zdravlje kod žena. Istraživanje se odvijalo online putem i uzorak je sačinjavalo 630 punoljetnih žena. Za procjenu kvalitete života vezanu uz zdravlje korišten je Upitnik kvalitete života za pacijente s bolestima štitnjače (ThyPRO-39), Ljestvica prihvaćanja bolesti (AIS) za procjenu prihvaćanje bolesti, Ljestvica percipiranog stresa (PSS) za procjenu stresa te Višedimenzionalna ljestvica percipirane socijalne podrške (MSPSS) za procjenu socijalne podrške. Rezultati pokazuju da su žene najlošije rezultate na ThyPRO-39 upitniku postizale na podljestvicama umora i emocionalne osjetljivosti. Regresijskom analizom utvrđeno je da postavljeni model prediktora objašnjava 55% varijance kvalitete života oboljelih žena. Manja percepcija stresa, veće prihvaćanje bolesti i veća socijalna podrška predviđaju bolju kvalitetu života vezanu uz zdravlje. Najvažnijim prediktorom u modelu pokazala se percepcija stresa. Takvi su nalazi u skladu s dosadašnjim spoznajama.
Abstract (english)
Thyroid disorders are common and predominantly female diseases. Nevertheless, research on the quality of life of people with thyroid disease is rare. The aim of this paper was to examine the predictive value of disease acceptance, perceived stress and social support in assessing health-related quality of life in women. The survey was conducted online and the sample consisted of 630 adult women. The thyroid specific patient reported outcome (ThyPRO-39) was used for perceived health-related quality of life assessment, Acceptance of illness scale (AIS) was used for perceived acceptance of illness assessment, Perceived stress scale (PSS) was used for perceived stress assessment, and Multidimensional scale of perceived social support (MSPSS) was used for perceived social support assessment. The results show that the lowest scores on ThyPRO-39 questionnaire were on the scales of fatigue and emotional susceptibility. A regression analysis found that the set of predictors explained 55% of the variance of women's quality of life. Lower perception of stress, better acceptance of illness and greater social support predict a better health-related quality of life of women with thyroid disorders. The most important predictor in the model turned out to be the perception of stress. Such findings are consistent with previous findings.
