Abstract
Rad se bavi pojmovnim određenjem fenomena lažnih vijesti (engl. fake news), ali i terminološkom razradom, koja u hrvatskom jeziku nije još ni približno raščišćena s obzirom na to da se radi o relativno novom fenomenu ili barem o fenomenu o kojem se tek nedavno počelo raspravljati. Lažne vijesti, u najširem smislu riječi, plasiraju se u javnost putem novina, emitiranih medija ili internetskih društvenih platformi korištenjem dezinformacija i masovne obmane u svrhu satire, senzacionalizma ili prijevare. Utjecaj lažnih vijesti svakodnevno raste zbog digitalizacije koja omogućava pisanje i objavljivanje istih bilo kome i bilo kada. U suštini predstavljaju deformaciju stvarnosti u obliku vijesti (tekst, zvučni ili video format), no kao pojam još nije potpuno definirana.
Abstract (english)
The paper deals with the conceptual definition of the phenomenon of fake news, but also with the terminological elaboration, which in the Croatian language has not yet been clarified, given that this is a relatively new phenomenon or at least a phenomenon that has only recently been discussed. Fake news, in the broadest sense of the word, is placed in the public eye through newspapers, broadcast media or online social platforms using misinformation and mass deception for the purpose of satire, sensationalism or fraud. The impact of fake news is growing daily due to digitalization that allows anyone to write and publish it at any time. In essence, they represent a deformation of reality in the form of news (text, audio or video format), but as a term it is not yet fully defined.
