Abstract
U radu se razmatra problemski sklop koje obuhvaća odnose sociokulturnih kolektivnih identiteta i globalizirajućih tendencija suvremenog svijeta. Kulturni identitet razmatra se kao kompleksan i složen pojam kojeg definira dinamička i dijalektička narav unutar nekoliko simultanih i isprepletenih tendencija suvremenog doba na globalnoj razini. Duhovne, ekonomske, tehnološke, političke i vrijednosne promjene toliko su brze i značajne da tradicionalni teorijski okvir više nije dostatan za pružanje zadovoljavajućih odgovora. Glavna hipoteza rada jest pitanje kako procesi globalizacije utječu na kulturni identitet te javlja li se kao posljedica tih procesa potreba za ponovnom konceptualizacijom kulturnog identiteta, odnosno, briše li globalizacija autonomni potencijal kulture i umjetnosti ili stvara jednu posve drugačiju koncepciju čovjeka s potpuno novim kulturnim potrebama?
Abstract (english)
The paper discusses the problem set that includes the relations of socio - cultural collective identities and the globalizing tendencies of the modern world. Cultural identity is considered as a multiplex and complex concept defined by a dynamic and dialectical nature within several simultaneous and intertwined tendencies of the modern age on a global level. Spiritual, economic, technological, political and value changes are so rapid and significant that the traditional theoretical framework is no longer sufficient to provide satisfactory answers. The main hypothesis of the paper is how globalization processes affect cultural identity and whether is there as a consequence of these processes a need to re-conceptualize cultural identity, that is, does globalization erase the autonomous potential of culture and art or does it create a completely different conception of man with completely new cultural needs?
