Abstract
U ovom su se istraživanju elektropalatografijom istraživali supraglotalni korelati zvučnosti i frikativnosti kod osoba s umjetnom pužnicom. Tri odrasla prelingvalno gluha ispitanika hrvatskog jezika bili su ispitanici u ovom istraživanju. Govorni materijal sadržavao je šest značenjskih riječi, proizvedenih u spontanom govoru, konstrukcije K1VK2V gdje je K2 bio ciljani frikativ /ʃ/ ili /ʒ/, a V je predstavljao jedan od tri hrvatska kardinalna vokala /i, a, u/. Odabrane su ukupno četiri varijable kako bi se proučila artikulacijska konfiguracija i dinamika frikativa: mjesto artikulacije, količina dodira, širina žlijeba te trajanje. Rezultati su pokazali da se podaci atipičnih ispitanika podudaraju s podacima dobivenim na tipičnim ispitanicima u dvije varijable: trajanje i mjesto artikulacije, dok se u preostale dvije varijable atipični govornici razlikuju od tipičnih. Kao što je očekivano, razlike među atipičnim ispitanicima pokazale su se velike kao i njihove varijabilnosti. Isto tako, pokazalo se da atipični govornici koriste različite artikulacijske i koartikulacijske obrasce u odnosu na tipične govornike.
Abstract (english)
This study investigated supraglottal correlates of voicing and frication in postalveolar fricatives /ʃ/ and /ʒ/ using electropalatography. Participants in this study were prelingually deaf adult speakers of Croatian with cochlear implants. Speech material consisted of six words produced in spontaneous speech. Each word consisted of K1VK2V where K2 was fricative /ʃ/ or /ʒ/ and V was one of the three vowels in Croatian /i, a, u/. There were four variables in total to investigate the articulatory configuration and the dynamics of targeted fricatives: the place of articulation, the amount of contact, groove width, and duration. The results showed that atypical participants have very similar results in terms of duration and place of articulation when compared to the typical population but they differ in groove width and amount of contact. As expected, differences between atypical speakers were great as well as their variability. Also, the data from this research showed that atypical speakers use different patterns in terms of articulation and coarticulation when compared to typical speakers.
