Interactive learning through fun, play and laughter are the ideas of modern teaching. The aim of the research was to investigate students' attitudes about the use of humor in the teaching process. An anonymous survey was conducted on a sample of 48 students. However, the sample on which the research was conducted is not representative. It is likely that students will especially admire teachers who use humor in teaching and how they will often alleviate difficult situations and uninteresting material with their performance. With the help of professional associates and teachers we interviewed students about their attitudes about using humor in the classroom. They are of the view that humor is needed in and out of teaching. Also, students have easier access to those teachers who use humor in teaching and feel accepted by them. The risk of using humor in teaching is its inappropriate application. Humor should not be inappropriate to students and should not offend them. If teachers use inappropriate humor during classes, it can disrupt the dynamics of the teaching process. When humor is used properly in teaching then it does not deconcentrate students. Moreover, students are motivated on working and performing obligations if humor is involved in the teaching process. The use of humor in the classroom can help teachers with faster involving students in the teaching process and can help with maintaining their attention. However, not all teachers have a sense of humor. This is sometimes a problem as well as the fact that each individual has a different sense of humor. The rarity of the appearance of humor in teaching can be attributed to insufficient attention on developing a sense of humor in training students for the profession of future teachers. Students feel that their teachers need to be pre-trained and prepared to use humor in teaching. Namely, there is a very small number of pedagogical researches that deal with the topic of humor in teaching. This research addresses this topic in order to open up new insights into the importance of humor and encourage future research.
