Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu analizira se struktura i značenje turskih frazema i poslovica s brojem kao komponentom. Budući da se brojevima izražavaju brojni koncepti potrebni za komunikaciju i funkcionalnost svakodnevnog života, imaju važan udio i u jezicima. Da bismo lakše mogli odrediti motivaciju značenja određene poslovice ili frazema, objasnili smo simboliku broja kojije u njima spomenut. Analizom smo utvrdili da je značenje poslovica i frazema u turskom jeziku najčešće motivirano njihovom simbolikom, a ne količinom koju pojedini broj označuje. Ustanovili smo da poslovice i frazemi u turskom jeziku mogu biti samo djelomično podudarni s njihovim ekvivalentima u hrvatskom jeziku s obzirom na različitu strukturu ta dva jezika te različiost kultura hrvatskog i turskog naroda. Također, zabilježene su poslovice i frazemi koji su svojstveni turskom jeziku, odnosno ne nalazimo njihov ekvivalent u hrvatskom jeziku.
Abstract (english)
This Master's thesis analyzes the structure and meaning of Turkish proverbs and idioms with numbers as a component. Numbers help us express the basic concepts needed in 30 communication and functionality of our everyday life, and therefore they play an important role in languages. In order to help us determine the motivation behind the meaning of a certain proverb or idiom, we explained the symbolism of the number mentioned in them. The analysis suggests that the meaning of proverbs and idioms containing numbers in the Turkish language is most often motivated by their symbolism rather than the quantity that they express. We established that Turkish proverbs and idioms can have only partial or incomplete compatibility with their equivalents in Croatian, considering the different structures of those two languages. Moreover, in Turkish language we found proverbs and idioms that are characteristic only of that language and cannot be found in Croatian language.
