Abstract
U tekstu će se predložiti interpretacija i metodički pristup horor-romanu Carrie (1974), prvijencu američkoga spisatelja Stephena Kinga. Proučit će se odnosi među likovima, kompozicija romana, pripovjedne strategije i temeljni motivi. Glavna (anti)junakinja romana bit će tumačena i kao lik žrtvenoga jarca – no, Carrie u određenom času izlazi iz okvira ovoga ustroja. Na romanu će se također pokazati i najvažnija obilježja horor-literature što će poslužiti kao svojevrstan uvod u žanr s kojim se učenici u nastavnome programu nisu u većoj mjeri mogli susretati. Kako roman nije dio školskoga programa, u tekstu će mu se metodički pristupiti pomoću fragmentarne koncepcije. Metodički će pristup uključivati prijedlog izvedbe nastavnoga sata književnosti po interpretativno-analitičkome sustavu i bit će popraćen pisanom pripremom za nastavni sat književnosti. Uspješnost izvedbe nastavnoga sata uputit će na mogućnost uvrštavanja romana u školski program.
Abstract (english)
The paper will propose an interpretation and methodical approach to Carrie (1974), a horror novel by the American author Stephen King. The relations between characters, the novel's structure, narrative strategies and key motifs will be examined. The protagonist of the novel will be interpreted as a scapegoat, even though Carrie transcends it at a certain point in the novel. The novel will serve to demonstrate the key aspects of the horror genre, which can be used as an introduction to the genre that is not as present in the curriculum as other literary genres. Due to the fact that the novel in question is not a part of the mandatory reading list for students in primary and secondary schools, the paper will use the method of fragmented concept to interpret it. The methodical approach will include a proposal on how to teach it in literature class using the interpretative-analytical system as well as a lesson plan. The success of the class will refer to the possibility of incorporating the novel into the curriculum.
