Abstract	Rekonstrukcija lica postala je važno područje antropologije koje se neprestano razvija. Teorijsko ishodište i brojne morfološke te morfometrijske metode prethode računalnoj rekonstrukciji mekih tkiva lica. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada jest izraditi rekonstrukciju mekih tkiva lica na primjeru lubanje te stvoriti približan izgled osobe za vrijeme njezina života. Također, cilj je prikazati primjenjivost uređaja za digitalizaciju i slobodnih softvera za 3D modeliranje u kontekstu forenzične antropologije. Neprestani razvoj tehnologije omogućuje uključivanje novih izvora i uređaja u praksu forenzične antropologije. Zahvaljujući nekontaktnim skenerima moguće je prikupiti i obrađivati podatke o željenim predmetima bez njihovog oštećenja. Postupak rekonstrukcije započeo je identifikacijom skeletnih ostataka s naglaskom na kraniofacijalnu antropometriju. Potom su opisani dijelovi lubanje te antropometrijske točke koje su glavni izvor podataka potrebnih za daljnje provođenje rekonstrukcije. Postupak se nastavlja procesom 3D skeniranja te 3D modeliranja. Analiziraju se dostupni programi za računalnu rekonstrukciju lica te se na temelju dobivenih rezultata navode prednosti i nedostaci računalnih metoda 3D rekonstrukcije lica.
Abstract (english)	Facial reconstruction has become an important and constantly advancing part of anthropology. Theoretical basis and many morphological and morphometric methods precede computer-based soft tissue reconstruction. The aim of this thesis is to reconstruct soft tissue of the chosen skull and create approximate appearance of the person, as well as to show the applicability of digitization devices and open source software for 3D modelling in the context of forensic anthropology. Constant technological development enables new sources and new devices in the forensic anthropology practice. Thanks to non-contact scanners it is possible to gather and process information about objects without causing any damage. The reconstruction begins with the identification of the skeletal remains focussing on craniofacial anthropometry. Description of the parts of the skull and the anthropometric points, which are the main source of the information needed to conduct further reconstruction, are given. The process continues with 3D scan and 3D modelling. Further, the thesis analyses available software for computer facial reconstruction and discusses benefits and weaknesses of the computer methods for 3D facial reconstructions.
