Abstract
U radu će se prikazati razvoj mobilnih mreža, njihova arhitektura, funkcionalnosti i mogućnosti korištenja, pri čemu će fokusirati na najnoviju, petu generaciju. Opisat će se razvoj mobilnih mreža kroz vrijeme, s ciljem da se prikažu razlike i prednosti u odnosu na prethodne generacije. Analizirat će se prednosti pete generacije, kako za krajnje korisnike, tako i za pružatelje usluga. Prikazat će se i istražiti trenutna pokrivenost 5G mrežom na području Republike Hrvatske te planirani daljnji razvoj. Glavni cilj rada je prikazati kako su se mobilne mreže razvile do sada i što nam sve omogućuje zadnja, peta generacija mobilnih mreža.
Abstract (english)
This piece of work describes the development of mobile networks, its' architecture, functionality and possibilities of use, while the highlight is most recent, fifth generation. Development of mobile networks through time is described, in order to present differences and advantages of this generation in comparison to previous ones. Advantages of the fifth generations are analyzed, not only for eventual users, but also for service providers. Coverage of 5G technology on the territory of Republic of Croatia is presented and examined in this work, as well as planned further development. The main goal of this piece of work is to show the evolution of mobile networks up until now and the possibilities that the latest, fifth generation of mobile networks provides.
