Abstract
Zamjenica hen je rodno neutralna osobna zamjenica u švedskom jeziku. Zamjenica se prvi put spominje 1950-ih, ali upotreba zamjenice počela se širiti 2000-ih. Rodno neutralna zamjenica bitna je za osobe koje pripadaju LGBT zajednici, posebno onima koji se identificiraju kao nebinarni, agender (tj. bez roda) ili drugi. Hen je zamjenica koja može točnije predstaviti njihov rodni identitet. Zamjenica hen također je vezana uz feminizam, budući da rodno neutralna zamjenica odgovara aktivizmu feminista za promjenu rodnih uloga i društvenih konstrukata oko toga. To je povezano s njihovom borbom za ženska prava jer bi upotreba rodno neutralne zamjenice mogla pomoći u ukidanju rodne pristranosti prema muškarcima, posebice u radnom prostoru. Zamjenica je izazvala rasprave između ljudi koji je koriste, poput LGBT osoba i feminista, i konzervativnijih ljudi, posebno pristalica i članova političke stranke Sverigedemokraterna. Danas se zamjenica hen koristi i u medijima i u svakodnevnoj komunikaciji. Nije u potpunosti zamijenila druge slične oblike, ali je više prihvaćena u društvu nego prije.
Abstract (english)
The pronoun hen is a gender-neutral personal pronoun in Swedish. First mentions of the pronoun date all the way to the 1950s, but the usage of the pronoun started spreading in the 2000s. A gender-neutral pronoun is essential for LGBT people, particularly those who identify as non-binary, agender or other. It is a pronoun that can more accurately represent their gender identity. The pronoun hen is also tied to feminism, since the gender-neutral pronoun aligns with their activism to change gender roles and social constructs around it. This tied into their fight for women's rights because using a gender-neutral pronoun could help with abolishing the gender bias towards men, particularly in the workspace. The pronoun caused debates between people who are for using it, like LGBT people and feminists, and the more conservative people, specifically supporters and members of the political party Sverigedemokraterna. Today, the pronoun hen is used both in the media and in everyday communication. It has not completely replaced other similar forms, but it is more accepted in society than before.
