Abstract
Obitelj je temeljna institucija društva koja nam pruža utočište, odgoj, kulturu... Kroz nju društvo šalje upute onoga što je prihvatljivo ili što nije prihvatljivo, daje nam uputu kako ćemo funkcionirati jednom kad postanemo punopravni odrasli članovi društva. Pojava novih formi obitelji i njezinom raznolikosti pojavljuje se pitanje da li se radi o raspadu obitelji kao društvene institucije ili o njezinoj nadogradnji. Također, mislioci vođeni tradicionalnijim vrijednostima boje se da će raznolikost obiteljskih formi imati negativan učinak na društvo u cjelini i biti uzrok njegovog raspada. Sva ta pitanja i brige koje se podižu oko obiteljske sfere opravdavaju i znatiželju znanstvenika društveno humanističkog usmjerenja da odgonetnu zbog čega do tih promjena dolazi. Odgovor mnogih leži u procesima industrijalizacije, globalizacije, urbanizacije i feminističkih pokreta.
Abstract (english)
The family is the fundamental institution of society that provides us with shelter, education, culture... Through it, society sends instructions of what is acceptable or what is not acceptable, gives us instructions on how we will function once we become full adult members of society. The emergence of new forms of family and its diversity raises the question of whether it is the disintegration of the family as a social institution or its upgrade. Also, thinkers guided by more traditional values fear that the diversity of family forms will have a negative effect on society as a whole and be the cause of its disintegration. All these questions and concerns that arise around the family sphere justify the curiosity of scientists of social sciences and humanities to figure out why these changes occur. The answer to many of them lies in the processes of industrialization, globalization, urbanization, and feminist movements.
