The ongoing coronavirus pandemic we are currently witnessing has left multiple and complex economic and social consequences around the world. These changes can also be observed at the level of library management, which have shifted in several phases called epidemic waves. Working in a library in these new circumstances has become extremely demanding, implying a high degree of flexibility and responsibility. In addition to the usual library activities, strict anti-epidemic measures have been introduced in accordance with the instructions of the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia. This thesis will include all the changes introduced in the way librarians and library staff work, an overview of the alternative services available to users, and an analysis of the libraries' websites, including available notices for citizens. The paper will present the period in which libraries were not open for public, but also the one after the reopening to users and working with enhanced protection measures and social distancing. The methodology of the research includes interviews with several employees of the Zagreb City Libraries network, the National and University Library and the Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
