Abstract
Ovaj rad bavi se djelovanjem Privatne mješovite gimnazije Ade Broh (Zagreb). Poseban naglasak stavljen je na mješovito obrazovanje te osnivačicu i vlasnicu škole Adu Broh. Objašnjava se razvoj same gimnazije, u kakvim (političko-školskim) prilikama je škola djelovala, tko ju je pohađao i tko je radio u njoj. Kroz rad se problematizira ženska povijest, osobito kroz perspektivu nastavnica, a pažnja se posvećuje i zdravstveno-socijalnim prilikama učenika. Također, u radu je predstavljen kolektivni identitet učenika (spol, nacija, vjera). Kako bi se bolje prikazao cjelokupan život škole, u radu se iznosi pregled nastavne godine te su naznačene „reforme“ školskih programa koje su utjecale na rad Privatne mješovite gimnazije Ade Broh.
Abstract (english)
This paper deals with the work of Private mixed (gender) secondary school of Ada Broh (Zagreb). Initially, the paper explains the development of the school and provides an overview of the political and school situation in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The main focus is placed on coeducation as well as life and work of the founder and owner of the school, Mrs Ada Broh. Moreover, the paper also addresses the issue of women's history in general and especially through perspective of female teachers. Attention is also on students collective identity (sex, nationality, religion), as well as on certain aspects of education, such as the standard of students' health, student social situation, student discipline and class attendance. Lastly, the paper offers an overview of the school's curriculum and discusses its reforms carried out in the inter-war period which impacted the work of Private mixed (gender) secondary school of Ada Broh.
