Three years ago, the Covid-19 disease appeared and ravaged the world. Suddenly, we found ourselves in a situation where it seemed as if there was no way out. It took many measures, bans, efforts, and innovations to bring the world back to its pre-pandemic state. Of all the institutions, museums suffered the hardest and in 2020, they were forced to close their doors. The normal functioning of the museum was made possible by the ICOM guidelines, which directed museums and visitors to some important measures and emphasized their importance. During the last 3 years, the Croatian Institute of Public Health has also published guidelines for various institutions and which epidemiological measures should be followed to avoid the spread of the virus as much as possible. Some innovative examples of holding live exhibitions were brought by the Netherlands (partnership between Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and Rotterdam Ahoy), Italy (EGOpro Active Tag) and France. However, most museums have turned to the Internet and digital technologies, trying to get closer to their visitors. The importance of digital channels can be seen in the organization of the Night of the Museum event, which was held in the last two years using the Internet and the museum's digital infrastructures. As the pandemic is ending, i.e., the number of infected people is decreasing, we can also see the return of live exhibitions, but with the current epidemiological measures in place.
