Abstract
Tema ovog završnog rada je švedski iz Rinkebya – varijetet švedskog nastao u istoimenom predgrađu glavnog grada Stockholma koji su 1970-ih naselili migranti iz raznih zemalja svijeta, najviše iz Turske, Grčke te zemalja bivše Jugoslavije. Rinkeby švedski najčešće koriste mladi, kao oblik slenga. S obzirom da se na sleng često pogrdno gleda i smatra ga se ugrozom za jezik, cilj je ovog završnog rada pokazati da sleng ne narušava jezične sposobnosti mladih, već je samo sredstvo iskazivanja pripadnosti određenoj grupi. Rinkeby sleng je specifičan zbog kombinacije stranih riječi sa švedskima, miješanja gramatičkih rodova, „nepravilnog“ redoslijeda riječi te davanja novih značenja švedskim riječima, a popularizirali su ga glazba, posebice rap, moda i televizija. Danas ga ne koriste samo djeca i mladi iz višekulturalnih sredina, već i sami Šveđani. Rad se također bavi predrasudama s kojima se susreću doseljenici u Švedskoj zbog jezične barijere i specifičnog izgovora zbog koje često nemaju jednake mogućnosti kao ostali stanovnici.
Abstract (english)
The focus of this bachelor thesis is Rinkeby Swedish, a variety of Swedish that was invented in the suburbs of Stockholm. The suburban area was inhabited by immigrants during the 1970s when a huge wave of immigrants came to Sweden from other countries all over the world, mainly from Turkey, Greece, and the former Yugoslavia. Rinkeby Swedish is mostly used by young people as a form of slang. Slang is often seen as a threat to the language, so the objective of this bachelor thesis is to prove that the slang doesn't impoverish the way young people speak and is rather used as a way of expressing oneself as a member of a certain group. What characterizes Rinkeby Swedish are mixing foreign words with the Swedish ones, mistaking the grammatical genders and the word order, and giving new meanings to some Swedish words. It was popularized by music, especially rap, fashion, and the TV. Today it is used not only by the youth with multicultural background, but by the Swedes also. This bachelor thesis also focuses on the prejudice immigrants are faced with in Sweden because of the language barrier and the specific pronunciation which is often the cause of not having the same possibilities as everyone else.
