Abstract
Este trabajo final trata sobre la novela del autor argentino Esteban Echeverría, titulada "El matadero". Echeverría escribe durante el período del Romanticismo y se considera su iniciador en la literatura hispanoamericana. Además, "El matadero" es el primer cuento argentino que contiene las características de Naturalismo y Costumbrismo que aparecen poco después.
Abstract (croatian)
Ovaj završni rad govori o noveli argentinskog autora Estebana Echeverríje, pod naslovom "El matadero". Echeverría je pisao u razdoblju romantizma kojeg je i začetnik u hispansko-američkoj književnosti. Osim toga, njegovo djelo "El matadero" smatra se prvom argentinskom novelom te sadrži i karakteristike naturalizma i kostumbrizma koji se pojavljuju tek nešto kasnije.
