Abstract
Rad daje odgovor na pitanje kakav je stav o europskoj kulturi i utjecaju europeizacije na osmansko društvo iz perspektive Ahmeta Mithata, obrazovanog osmanskog književnika koji je bio upoznat s europskim načinom života, svjetonazorom i vrijednostima te u konačnici objašnjava je li se proces europeizacije, prema autorovom mišljenju, na kasno osmansko društvo odrazio pozitivno ili negativno te koji su čimbenici pritom bili odlučujući.
Abstract (english)
The thesis answers the question of the perception of Europeans from the author's point of view, who was familiar with the European way of life, worldview, and values. It ultimately explains whether the process of Europeanization, in the author's opinion, had a positive or a negative effect on the late Ottoman society and which factors have determined it.
