Mental health is extremely important because, despite complete physical health, a person can be extremely dysfunctional due to psychological difficulties, and as a result, behave extremely harmfully towards themselves or others. This research aimed to examine the role of certain psychological factors (stress at work, psychological resilience, emotional intelligence and financial status) in predicting employees' mental health. Two questionnaires were used as a measurement of mental health, Mental Health Inventory – 5 and Young Persons Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation. The survey was conducted in May and June 2022. The sample was collected online and consisted of 797 participants, of which 610 were women, and the average age of the participants was 35.3 years. Two hierarchical regression analyzes were conducted for each measure of mental health. The results showed that all four predictors, more precisely stress at work, psychological resilience, emotional intelligence and financial status have a significant contribution in explaining the variance of mental health and risk for the development of psychological difficulties and disorders. 51% of the variance of mental health and 55% of the variance of the risk for the development of difficulties and disorders were explained, and in both hierarchical regression analyses, the most significant contribution to the explanation of the variance of the criteria came from the inclusion of the participant's characteristics, i.e. emotional intelligence and psychological resilience.
