Abstract
Estetika je filozofska disciplina koja se bavi umjetnošću, njenim sadržajem i oblikom. Iako ona nastaje usporedno s umjetnošću, svoj naziv i utemeljenje kao discipline dobiva tek u 18. stoljeću, zahvaljujući A. G. Baumgartenu. Kroz povijest su mnogi pokušavali (i još uvijek pokušavaju) definirati umjetnost i u tu definiciju uključiti razne odlike. Tako se razvijaju mnoge struje koje definiraju umjetnost na razne načine. Dok jedni smatraju da se umjetnost nalazi u prikladnosti oblika i sadržaja, drugi kažu da je za njeno određivanje neophodno sagledati društveni i povijesni kontekst u kojemu je nastala. Treći će pak reći da da bi nešto bilo umjetničko djelo, ono mora posjedovati neko određeno svojstvo. Ekonomizacija i razvoj masovne kulture doveli su nestabilnosti umjetnosti. Ona se prodaje kao roba, a njen promatrač postaje potrošač. Tako dolazi do Entkunstunga, gubljenja umjetničkog karaktera umjetnosti. Adorno je smatrao da je pozicija umjetnosti postala neizvjesna te da bi se ona mogla spasiti principijelnim određenjem filozofije umjetnosti.
Abstract (english)
Aesthetics is a philosophical discipline that deals with art, its content and form. Although it arose parallel to art, it got its name and establishment as a discipline in the 18th century, thanks to A. G. Baumgarten. Throughout history, many have tried (and are still trying) to define art and bring various characteristics into it. This is how many currents that define art in various ways are being developed. While some believe that art can be found in the appropriateness of form and content, others say that in order to determine what art is, it is necessary to look at the social and historical context in which it was created. Still, some others will say that in order for something to be a work of art, it must possess a certain property. Economization and the development of mass culture led to the instability of art. Art is sold as a product, where its observer becomes a consumer. This is how Entkunstung, the loss of the artistic character of art is occured. Adorno believed that the position of art had become uncertain and that it could be salvaged by a principled determination of the philosophy of art.
