Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu naslovljenom Kognitivistička analiza Leopardijevih pjesničkih testova smo analizirali metafore u odabranim pjesmama iz Leopardijevih Pjesama iz kognitivističke perspektive s ciljem da ustanovimo imaju li metafore stilsku ili heurističko-informativnu vrijednost te u kojoj su mjeri Leopardijeve metafore pridonijele semantičko-leksičkoj inovaciji talijanskog jezika. Kognitivistički teorijski okvir i na njemu utemeljena metodologija omogućili su nam da odredimo vrijednost metafora unutar triju leksičkih kategorija: verbalne, nominalne i pridjevske. S kvantitativnog stajališta, verbalne su metafore najbrojnije i ukupno i iz perspektive semantičke inovacije. Općenito, većina metafora ima primarno stilsku vrijednost, no brojne su i one koje predstavljaju važno sredstvo u kognitivnim procesima konceptualizacije izvanjezičnog svijeta.
Abstract (english)
In this Master's thesis entitled Cognitive Analysis of Leopardi's Poetic Texts, we analyzed metaphors in selected poems from Leopardi's Poems from a cognitivist perspective with the aim of establishing whether metaphors have stylistic or heuristic-informative value and to what extent Leopardi's metaphors contributed to the semantic-lexical innovation of the Italian language. The cognitivist theoretical framework and the methodology based on it allowed us to determine the value of metaphors within three lexical categories: verbal, nominal, and adjectival. From a quantitative point of view, verbal metaphors are the most numerous both in total and from the perspective of semantic innovation. In general, most metaphors have a primarily stylistic value, but there are also numerous ones that represent an important tool in the cognitive processes of conceptualizing the extra-linguistic world.
