Abstract
Tema diplomskog rada bila je pronalaženje i dokazivanje višestrukih stacionarnih stanja (VSS) unutar kolone s razdjelnom stijenkom (KRS) za tri produkta. Pretpostavka postojanja višestrukih stacionarnih stanja temelji se na termodinamičkoj ekvivalentnosti KRS-a Petlyukovoj koloni. Stoga su provedena mnoga istraživanja u pokušaju pronalaska različitih rješenja raspodjele kapljevine i pare za jednu pojnu smjesu pomoću kojih bi se dobili jednaki sastavi produkata pri konstantnim protocima proizvoda i refluksnom omjeru. Pronalaženje VSS-a vrlo je bitno za projektiranje i optimiziranje kolone s razdjelnom stijenkom. Proračun KRS napravljen je koristeći 40 komponentnu smjesu iz postrojenja za katalitičko reformiranje Rafinerije nafte Sisak, koja se razdvaja na tri proizvoda. Broj komponenata u smjesi je sveden na 15 kako bi se pojednostavio proračun. Simulacija je napravljena pomoću simulacijskog softvera ChemCAD. Nakon toga provedena je studija osjetljivosti kako bi se provjerila ovisnost promjene masenog udjela benzena u pojedinim proizvodima o promjeni raspodjele kapljevine i pare. Dobiveni podaci su obrađeni u programskom jeziku MATLAB te su izrađeni pripadajući konturni dijagrami. Izdvojene su konture koje odgovaraju traženim udjelima benzena u svakom proizvodu i prikazane na zajedničkom dijagramu. Utvrđeno je postojanje višestrukih stacionarnih stanja jer su dobivena dva jednaka rješenja, odnosno dva sjecišta na dijagramu, za dvije različite vrijednosti raspodjele kapljevine i pare pri jednakim radnim uvjetima i specifikacijama kolona.
Abstract (english)
Subject of this master thesis is determining and proving the existence of multiple steady states (MSS) in a three-product dividing wall column (DWC). The existence of multiple steady states is assumed based on thermodynamic equivalency of DWC with Petlyuk column. A lot of research has been carried out in an attempt to find different solutions of liquid and vapor split ratio for one feed which would, as a result, obtain equal product compositions at constant product flow rates and reflux ratio. Finding multiple steady states is crucial for designing and optimization of a dividing wall column. A 40 component mixture from the catalytic reforming plant of the Sisak Oil Refinery was taken as a case study. To simplify the simulation, the mixture was reduced to 15 main components. Column model was developed and studied using ChemCAD. Parametric sensitivity study was done in order to study the dependence of the change in the mass fraction of benzene in all three products with the change of the liquid and vapor split ratio. The obtained data was analyzed in MATLAB programming language and the corresponding contour diagrams were made. Contours denoting target mass fractions of benzene in every product were selected from each chart, and shown in a single diagram. The existence of multiple steady states was determined because two equal solutions were obtained, i.e. there were two intersections on the chart, for two different values of liquid and vapor split ratio under equal operating conditions and column specifications.
