Abstract
Kako azeotropne smjese nije moguće u potpunosti separirati jednostavnom destilacijom, traže se načini kako bi se separacija poboljšala. Jedna od mogućnosti je pomicanje azeotropne točke promjenom tlaka. Na taj se način azeotrop pomiče prema rubu faznog dijagrama, a u ovom slučaju za sustav toluen(1) – piridin(2) smanjenjem tlaka potpuno nestaje. Za predviđanje ponašanja te dvokomponentne smjese pri ravnoteži para-kapljevina pri različitim tlakovima korištena je Stryjek-Verina modifikacija Peng-Robinsonove jednadžbe stanja u kombinaciji s Wong-Sandlerovim pravilima miješanja, koja u sebi uključuju i model NRTL. Provedeni su Heringtonov i Van Nessov test za provjeru termodinamičke konzistentnosti eksperimentalnih podataka.
Abstract (english)
Azeotropic mixtures cannot be fully separated using atmospheric distillation. One of possibilities to shift or completely expel azeotropes is by changing pressure. In that way the azeotrope shifts to the edge of phase diagram, and in this case for the toluene(1) – pyridine(2) system the azeotrope is completely removed. For the prediction of behavior of this two-component mixture the Stryjek-Vera modification of Peng-Robinson equation of state was used in combination with Wong-Sandler mixing rules that use NRTL model to determine the activity coefficients. Herington and Van Ness consistency tests were run to determine the consistency of experimental data.
