Abstract
Tema ovoga rada je potencijal i korištenje energije morskih valova kao suvremenog alata u dobivanju električne energije iz obnovljivih izvora. Tema rada obrađena je kroz nekoliko poglavlja: povijesni pregled, opis i teorija vala, potencijal korištenja energije iz morskih valova, klasifikacija uređaja koji služe za pretvorbu valne energije, utjecaj na okoliš i procjena potencijala energije valova u Jadranskom moru. Nakon cjelokupne obrade teorijskog dijela teme obrađuju se eksperimentalni rezultati koji prikazuju efikasnost pretvorbe energije za pojedine vrste valnih pretvarača energije na području Hrvatske strane Jadranskog mora. Obradom rezultata donosi se zaključak o trenutnim mogućnostima i isplativosti takvog oblika proizvodnje na našim prostorima, a pri tome važno je napomenuti kako je tehnologija iskorištavanja energije iz morskih valova još uvijek je u ranim fazama istraživanja i stoga njen puni potencijal i dalje nije iskorišten.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this paper is the potential and use of sea wave energy as a modern tool in obtaining electricity from renewable sources. The topic of the work is covered in several chapters: historical overview, description and theory of waves, potential of using sea wave energy, classification of devices used for wave energy conversion, impact on the environment and assessment of wave energy potential in the Adriatic Sea. The theoretical part of the paper, is followed by elaboration of experimental results which shows the efficiency of energy conversion for certain types of wave energy converters in the area of the Croatian side of the Adriatic Sea. A conclusion drawn about the current possibilities and profitability of such a form of production in our area was based on the obtained results, but it is important to mention that the technology of harnessing energy from sea waves is still in the early stages of research and therefore it is still not used in the full potential.
