Abstract
Tijekom posljednjih desetljeća, sve veće zabrinutosti za zaštitu okoliša zbog široke upotrebe sintetičkih polimera dovela je do značajnog porasta polimernog otpada u prirodi. Biokompatibilni i ekološki prihvatljivi biopolimeri imaju sve veći značaj u sustavima za isporuku lijekova, tkivnom inženjerstvu, membranskoj tehnologiji, proizvodnji ambalažnih materijala i dr. U ovom radu istražena su svojstva prevlaka mješavina hitozana različitih molekulskih masa i polivinil pirolidona (PVP) pripravljenih iz otopine, bez i uz dodatak želatine (G) i polietilen glikola (PEG). Na prevlakama mješavina H/PVP, H/PVP/G i H/PVP/PEG4 provedena su ispitivanja površinskih karakteristika primjenom tehnike kontaktnog kuta, toplinskih svojstava primjenom diferencijalne pretražne kalorimetrije, termogravimetrijske analize i mjerenja toplinske vodljivosti te morfološka analiza primjenom pretražne elektronske mikroskopije.
Abstract (english)
Over the last decades, growing environmental concern due to the widespread use of synthetic polymers has led to a significant increase in polymer waste in nature. Biocompatible and eco-friendly biopolymers are of increasing importance in drug delivery, tissue engineering, membrane technology, packaging materials manufacturing etc. In this work, the properties of coatings of blends of chitosan of different molecular weights and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) prepared from a solution without and with the addition of gelatin (G) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) were investigated. The coating samples of the blends H/PVP, H/PVP/G and H/PVP/PEG4 were investigated for their surface properties by contact angle technique, for their thermal properties by differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis and thermal conductivity measurements, and for their morphological analysis by scanning electron microscopy.
