Abstract
Imobilizacija katalizatora na nosač pogodna je metoda za primjenu fotokatalizatora u znanstvene i industrijske svrhe. Ovako pripremljeni fotokatalizator ima mnoge prednosti u odnosu na suspendirani oblik kao što su lakše uklanjanje nakon reakcije, mogućnost višekratnog korištenja bolja ponovljivost eksperimenata, manja potrošnja katalizatora i dr. Cilj ovoga rada bilo je provesti imobilizaciju komercijalnog TiO2 fotokatalizatora na stakle kuglice različitih dimenzija. Za provjeru uspješnosti imobilizacije, kuglice su izložene simuliranim hidrodinamičkim uvjetima u svrhu ispitivanja stabilnosti nanesenog sloja. Iz dobivenih rezultata može se zaključiti da posebnu ulogu u uspješnosti imobilizacije ima veličina samih kuglica kao i dodatak aditiva u ovome slučaju polietilen glikola.
Abstract (english)
Immobilization of the catalyst on a support is a suitable method for the application of photocatalysts for scientific and industrial purposes. The photocatalyst prepared in this way has many advantages over the suspended round, such as easier removal after the reaction, reusability, better repeatability of experiments, lower catalyst consumption, etc. The aim of this work was to immobilize a commercial TiO2 photocatalyst on glass beads of different dimensions. To check the success of the immobilization, the beads were exposed to simulated hydrodynamic conditions in order to test the stability of the applied layer. From the obtained results it can be concluded that a special role in the success of immobilization has the size of the beads themselves as well as the addition of additives in this case polyethylene glycol.
