Abstract
Cilj je ovog rada dati literaturni prikaz istraživanja svojstava pH osjetljivih polimera i njihove primjene u dostavi lijekova. Nova saznanja u području inženjerstva materijala omogućila su napredak u ciljanim liječenjima malignih bolesti. Svojstva pH osjetljivih polimera, poput biokompatibilnosti i biorazgradljivosti, danas su ključna za primjenu u medicini. Promjene strukture kojima podliježu ovi polimeri s obzirom na uvjete u okolini u kojoj se nalaze omogućuju efektivniju dostavu lijekova, vremensko otpuštanje djelatne tvari te smanjenje nuspojava. Prikazani su najčešći načini sinteze pH osjetljivih polimera, njihove najčešće strukture i strukturalne promjene kojima podliježu pri promjeni pH.
Abstract (english)
Aim of this work is to give a literature review of the research of pH-responsive polymers and their applications in drug delivery. New findings in the field of material science have improved targeted treatments of malignant diseases. Properties of pH-responsive polymers, such as biocompatibility and biodegradation, are key for medical applications. Changes in structure of these polymers occur when there are changes in their environment. That provides more effective drug delivery, time release of active substance and reduction of side effects. Most commonly used methods for synthesis of the pH-responsive polymers are shown, their most common structures and structure changes they undergo when the environmental pH changes.
