Abstract
Kako bi se spriječilo razaranje konstrukcijskih materijala, potrebna je kvalitetna zaštita od korozije. Jedna od novijih metoda zaštite od korozije je formiranje samoorganizirajućih monoslojeva organskih kiselina na površini metala. Samoorganizirajuće monoslojeve čine dugolančane organske molekule koje sadrže dvije funkcionalne skupine. Funkcionalna skupina koja je odgovorna za adsorpciju molekula na površinu čvrstog supstrata naziva se adhezijska skupina, a skupina koja određuje svojstva modificirane površine naziva se završna skupina. U ovom radu proučavana je korozijska zaštita čistog bakra formiranjem samoorganizirajućih monoslojeva oktadecil fosfonske kiseline različitih koncentracija i pri različitim uvjetima adsorpcije. Pri tome su korištene elektrokemijske metode linearne polarizacije, Tafelove ekstrapolacije i elektrokemijska impedancijska spektroskopija. Površina ispitivanih uzoraka karakterizirana je i FTIR spektroskopijom te goniometrijom. Dobiveni rezultati pokazuju da na površini bakra dolazi do formiranja filmova ODPA, ali da dobivena korozijska zaštita nije dugotrajna u kloridnom mediju.
Abstract (english)
In order to prevent the destruction of structural materials, good quality corrosion protection is required. One of the newer methods of corrosion protection is the formation of self-assembled monolayers organic acids on the surface of metals. Self- assembled monolayers are composed of long-chain organic molecules containing two functional groups. The functional group responsible for the adsorption of molecules to the surface of a solid substrate is called the adhesion group, and the group that determines the properties of the modified surface is called the end group. In this work, the corrosion protection of pure copper was studied by forming self- assembled monolayers of octadecylphosphonic acid from the solution of different concentrations and under different adsorption conditions. Electrochemical linear polarization methods, Tafel extrapolations and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were used. The surface of the test specimens was characterized by FTIR spectroscopy and goniometry. The results obtained show that ODPA films are formed on the copper surface, but that the corrosion protection obtained is not long-lasting in the chloride medium.
