Abstract
Otpadne vode su korištene vode, onečišćene tvarima koje im mijenjaju fizikalna, kemijska i biološka svojstva. Nastaju uporabom vode iz kućanstava i industrije ili se mogu onečistiti uslijed oborinskih padalina. Često se u otpadnim vodama nalaze i manje koncentracije farmaceutika. Farmaceutici su kemijski spojevi koji imaju važnu ulogu u liječenju ljudi i životinja, a koriste se i kao promotori rasta. Farmaceutici u otpadne vode dospijevaju većinom ispuštanjem iz farmaceutskih industrijskih... More postrojenja, bolnica, postrojenja za obradu otpadne vode te nepropisnim odlaganjem lijekova iz kućanstava. Osim štetnih utjecaja na okoliš i ljudsko zdravlje, farmaceutici u otpadnim vodama mogu pridonijeti stvaranju rezistentnosti bakterija. Uslijed prekomjernog korištenja antibiotika, bakterije su stvorile mehanizme rezistencije kojima se odupiru djelovanju antibiotika. U ovom završnom radu spominju se najčešće bakterije koje uzrokuju bolesti kod ljudi i životinja, a koje su stvorile rezistenciju na antibiotike za liječenje istih. Porastom rezistentnosti bakterija na farmaceutike, potrebno je pronaći alternativne lijekove koji će biti učinkovitiji, poput antimikrobnih peptida i bakteriofaga. Less
Abstract (english)
Wastewater is used water contaminated with substances that change its physical, chemical and biological properties. It arises from households and industry or become polluted due to precipitation. Smaller concentrations of pharmaceuticals are often found in wastewater. Pharmaceuticals are chemical compounds that play an important role in treating humans and animals, and they are also used as growth promoters. Pharmaceuticals enter wastewater mostly through discharge from pharmaceutical... More industrial plants, hospitals, wastewater treatment plants and improper disposal of household medications. This creates an increasing problem of harmful effects on the environment, human health, and bacterial resistance. Due to the excessive use of antibiotics, bacteria have developed resistance mechanisms to antibiotics used for their treatment. This final paper mentions the most common bacteria that cause diseases in humans and animals, and which have developed resistance to antibiotics used for their treatment. With the increase in bacterial resistance to pharmaceuticals, it is necessary to find alternative medicines that will be more effective, such as antimicrobial peptides and bacteriophages. Less
