Drying is a key process in production of pharmaceuticals. Until recently, drying was done separately from filtration but as technology is improving, the process is optimized and sped up as well. Nowadays drying and filtration are done in the same device called a filter dryer. Since technology is improving even further, there are more and more requirements for faster production and better quality of the final product. That is why solutions are looked for which would further speed up drying process and obtaining product ready for the next step in production line in the least amount of time. In this work, samples of pharmaceutical Sacubitril Valsartan are prepared. After the product is synthesized in reactor, it is dried in the filtar dryer and monitored using three methods: thermogravimetric method, measuring using Raman spectroscopy and recording using thermographic camera. Those methods were employed to investigate if they can contribute to better sample analysis so that drying process becomes shorter. Collected results of measuring with Raman spectroscopy show that this method is not adequate for monitoring of drying after observed product reach the limit of 20 % of moisture in mass, which means that for all samples that have less than 20 % of moisture in mass, device can not detect any differences. Goal with thermographic camera was to investigate if thermograms (images of radiation detected with thermographic camera) can show with great certainty that the moisture in material is distributed homogeneous. Using this method it can be determined that the moisture content is corresponding acroos whole product mass and that makes the monitoring of drying process much easier.
