Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je izraditi prototip protočnog separatora kapljevina/kapljevina, koji separira dvofaznu smjesu kapljevina zbog različitih sila adhezije i različite površinske napetosti, na 3D pisačima, tehnologijom proizvodnje rastaljenim filamentom i stereolitografije. Drugi cilj bio je pokazati mogućnosti vrlo brzog optimiranja prototipa separatora. Prilikom izrade prototipa protočnog separatora kapljevina/kapljevina u obzir su uzeti sljedeći parametri: veličina separatora, razmak između stupova, utjecaj geometrije stupova i veličina stupova. Cilj je bio napraviti rastavljivi spoj prototipa separatora i izvora dvofazne smjese, no korištene su i alternativne metode spajanja. Za izradu prototipa separatora proizvodnjom rastaljenim filamentom korišten je komercijalno dostupan filament. Tehnologija proizvodnje rastaljenim filamentom nije uspješno izradila prototip separatora ovih dimenzija, jer se prilikom izrade slojevi zbog male veličine ne mogu ohladiti te dolazi do razvlačenja niti filamenta i stupovi se spoje. Također, poklopac nije mogao biti izrađen na separatoru jer prilikom istiskivanja slojevi poklopca padaju između stupova na dno separatora. Korištenjem tehnologije stereolitografije uspješno su izrađeni prototipovi separatora. Stereolitografija je zbog svoje velike preciznosti bila u mogućnosti izraditi sve dijelove prototipa separatora. Prilikom izrade prototipa separatora s poklopcem došlo bi do zadržavanja zaostale poliakrilatne smole koja bi se tijekom naknadnog očvršćivanja, očvrsnula te bi time separator postao nefunkcionalan. Testirano je šest prototipova separatora kapljevina/kapljevina prilikom kojeg smo dobili šest različitih rezultata separacije dvofaznog toka smjese voda/ulje.
Abstract (english)
Main goal of this study was to make prototype of continuous flow liquid/liquid separator, that separates two phase flow based on the difference between adhesion force and surface tension, on a 3D printer, using fused filament fabrication technology and stereolithography. Second goal was to show how fast a separator prototype can be optimized. While making a prototype of liquid/liquid separator next parameters were taken into consideration: size of the separator, space between the pillars, geometry of the pillars and size of the pillars. The goal was to make detachable connection between separator prototype and the source of two phase liquid, also, alternative connecting methods were used. Commercially available filament was used for fused filament fabrication. Because layers of fused polymers were unable to cool in such short time, fused filament fabrication technology was unable to produce a functional separator prototype. Nozzle created thread that connected the pillars. Additionally, the 3D printer was unable to print cover on separator because while printing layers, thread of melted polymer was falling in empty space between the pillars. Separator prototypes were successfully printed using stereolithography. Because of its high resolution, stereolithographic technology was able to print all the small parts of the separator. When cover was printed on the separator using stereolithography, excess polyacrylic resin was captured in the separator and was later hardened during curing, which makes the separator dysfunctional. Six liquid/liquid separator prototypes were used in experiments and six different results were obtained, containing six different separation results of two phase water/oil mixture.
