Abstract
Zeoliti su kristalni hidratizirani alumosilikati alkalijskih i zemnoalkalijskih metala opće formule M2/nO × Al2O3 × x SiO2 × y H2O. Industrijski su vrlo važni materijali koji se koriste kao ionski izmjenjivači, molekularna sita, katalizatori, deterdženti, itd. U ovom radu sintetiziran je zeolit Silikalit-1(strukturni tip MFI) pri temperaturama 100 °C i 150 °C te pri različitim vremenima sinteze. Sinteza je provedena u prisutnosti prirodnih sirovina, algi Chlorella vulgaris i Dunaliella tertiolecta. Pripremljenim uzorcima zeolita određena je veličina čestica te ovisnost volumnog udjela o veličini čestica (Masterseizer). Kemijski sastav elemenata prisutnih u uzorcima zeolita određen je pomoću EDX analize dok su funkcionalne skupine karakteristične za zeolite identificirane infracrvenom spektroskopijom. Pomoću optičkog i pretražnog elektronskog mikroskopa snimljene su fotografije odnosno mikrografije uzoraka. Iz rezultata je vidljivo da su čestice zeolita različitih veličina i oblika. Najzastupljeniji elementi prisutni u uzorcima zeolita su silicij i kisik, dok su manje zastupljeni elementi Ca, Mg, F, Na i P. Vrpce snimljene FTIR spektrometrijom odgovaraju vezama Si-O, Si-O-Si i Si-O-Al.
Abstract (english)
Zeolites are crystalline hydrated alumosilicates of alkali and alkaline earth metals of the general formula M2/nO × Al2O3 × x SiO2 × y H2O. They are very important industrial materials that are used as ion exchangers, molecular sieves, catalysts, detergents, etc. In this paper Zeolite Silicalite-1 (structural tip of MFI) was synthesized at temperatures of 100 °C and 150 °C at different times of the synthesis. The synthesis was carried out in the presence of natural raw materials, algae Chlorella vulgaris and Dunaliella tertiolecta. The prepared zeolite samples were characterized by the particle size and the dependence of the volume fraction of the particle size (Masterseizer). The chemical compositions of the elements present in the zeolite samples is determined by EDX analysis, while the functional groups characteristic to the zeolite are identified by infrared spectroscopy. Photographs and micrographs of the samples were taken using an optical and scanning electron microscope. The results show that zeolite particles are of different sizes and shapes. The most abundant elements present in the zeolite samples are silicon and oxygen, while the less represented elements are Ca, Mg, F, Na, and P. The bands recorded by FTIR spectrometry correspond to the Si-O, Si-O-Si, and Si-O-Al bonds.
