Abstract
Tema ovog rada je izrada igre tipa Space Invaders u alatu Godot. U radu će se istražiti instrumentarij alata Godot za izradu 2D arkadnih igara u jeziku GDscript, te će se izraditi igra tipa Space invaders. Prvo će se ukratko obraditi sama povijest video igara i igraćih konzola podijeljena kroz četiri generacije po desetljećima. Zatim ćemo upoznati alat Godot, kakva je arhitektura alata te na koji način se pristupa razvoju igara. Kada završimo sa time usporedit ćemo Godot sa dvoje vodećih alata u industriji: Unity i Unreal Engine, te ukratko prikazati glavne prednosti i nedostatke navedenih alata. Nakon toga ćemo se upoznati sa Godot-ovim skriptnim programskim jezikom GD Script i cijelu priču zaokružiti primjerom razvoja igre tipa Space Invaders.
