Abstract
U završnom radu ukratko sam opisao što su to računarski sustavi te koje vrste postoje. Kratko sam se osvrnuo na povijest otvorenih računarskih sustava i aplikacija te specifično povijest Linux-a. Obrazložio sam otvorene računarske sustave i zatvorene računarske sustave te naveo glavne razlike između jednih i drugih. U praktičnom djelu rada instalirao sam Linux Kernel u virtualnom okruženju, potom nekoliko programa s javno dostupnim izvornim kodom. Praktični dio rada sam detaljno opisao i popratio slikama.
