Abstract
Baze podataka su dio svakog informacijskog sustava i često sadrže osjetljive podatke. Pošto pohranjuju velike količine osjetljivih informacija, predstavljaju veliku vrijednost za organizacije. U većini slučajeva se sigurnost temelji na prepoznavanju korisnika (autentikaciji) i dajući im specifična prava da pristupaju samo nekim podacima (autorizaciji). Preporučuje se i korištenje enkripcije, nadzor pristupa bazi podataka te izrada sigurnosnih kopija.
