Abstract
Geometrija je jedna od grana matematike i njezini odgovarajući sadržaji su uvršteni u redovnu nastavu osnovne i srednje škole. Geometrijski objekti nas okružuju i stoga pružaju mogućnost svakodnevne percepcije njihovih različitih oblika. Upravo zbog svoje konkretnosti, uvođenje geometrijskih sadržaja pruža niz metodičkih prilika u kojima učitelj učenika može učini aktivnim sudionikom nastavnog procesa, a znanja stečena na takav način daleko se trajnije zadržavaju. U ovom radu su navedeni metodički postupci uvođenja pojma pravokutnika i kvadrata u postojećim udžbenicima i ostalim materijalima. Prikazana je aktivnost kojom kroz igru, kao primarnu aktivnost djeteta, učenici mogu usvojiti i uvježbati određene sadržaje. Aktivnosti tog tipa su izvrstan izbor za razvoj geometrijskog mišljenja i prostornog zora.
Abstract (english)
Geometry is a branch of mathematics and some contents of it are part of regular primary and secondary school curriculum. Geometrical objects are all around us and they give us opportunity to perceive their shapes every day. They are so specific that introducing them into the classroom gives a teacher possibility to make students active participants of the teaching process. The knowledge acquired during such a process is remembered much longer. In this paper there are listed methods which are used in the textbooks and other materials to introduce the concept of a rectangle and a square. The paper explains activity which is a part of the game, a child's primary activity, through which students can adopt and practice some contents. This type of activities are a great chance to develop geometrical thinking and space images.
