Abstract
Pojava i djelovanje Grigora Viteza označilo je prekretnicu u stvaranju moderne dječje književnosti u Hrvatskoj. Iako dosta kritiziran i neprihvaćen tijekom svog srednjoškolskog obrazovanja, Vitez ne odustaje od pisanja i paralelno s njim počinje se baviti i slikarstvom. Njegove živahne, detaljne, „opipne“ i pretežito vedre pjesme glavno su vrelo ideja pronalazile u njegovom djetinjstvu i rodnom kraju, a nešto kasnije i u obiteljskoj idili. Za razliku od dotadašnjih pjesama koje su namijenjene kako odraslima tako i djeci, pjesme Grigora Viteza označile su prekretnicu učinivši snažnu korelaciju između piščevih stihova i dječje razigranosti i mašte, te afirmiravši posve drukčiji stih od dotadašnjeg. U njegovim pjesmama vidljiva je raznolikost jezično-stilskih obilježja što uvelike potvrđuje njegovo znanje i njegov neosporan talent za stvaranje.
Abstract (english)
Appearence and works of Grigor Vitez have marked a milestone in creation of modern childrens' litrature in Croatia. Even though he was videly criticized and unappreciated during his highschool education, Vitez didn't give up on his writing, and even started persuing painting. His lively, detailed, tangible and generaly cheerful poems got their main source of ideas from his childhood and homeland, and later from his family wellbeing. As opposed to the poems up until then which were meant for grown ups and children, poems of Grigor Vitez marked a milestone making a strong correlation between poets verses and childish playfulness and immagination, as well as affirming an entirely different verse from the former one. One can see the variability of linguistico-stylistic characteristics in his poems which widely confirms his knowledge and his undisputable talent for creation.
