Abstract
Nogomet je najpopularnija igra na svijetu, a povijest tog športa seže daleko prošlost. Igre u kojima čovjek koristi loptu spominju se u spisima starim preko 2000 godina. U 19. stoljeću u Engleskoj osnivaju se prvi nogometni klubovi i tada počinje razdoblje modernog nogometa. Osnivaju se i prve nacionalne reprezentacije i nogometna tijela. Danas gotovo da ne postoji država koja nema svoj nacionalni tim. Najznačajnije nogometno prvenstvo današnjice je Svjetsko nogometno prvenstvo, koje se igra od 1930. godine. Za nogometnu su zajednicu veoma važne i Olimpijske igre, na koje je nogomet kao jedan od športova uvršten davne 1900. godine. Kroz povijest razvijali su se svi segmenti ove igre, od samih pravila do lopte, odjeće te naposljetku najmodernijih tehnologija poput VAR-a. Moderni se nogomet proširio u sve krajeve svijeta i neizostavan je dio ljudske svakodnevice.
Abstract (english)
Football is the most popular game in the world, and the history of the sport goes back a long way. Games in which man uses a ball are mentioned in writings over 2,000 years old. In the 19th century, the first football clubs were founded in England and that is when the period of modern football began. The first national teams and football bodies are also established. Today, there is almost no country that does not have its own national team. The most important football championship of today is the World Cup, which has been played since 1930. The Olympic Games are also very important for the football community, where football was included as one of the sports back in 1900. Throughout history, all segments of this game have evolved, from the rules themselves to the ball, clothing, and finally the most modern technologies like VAR. Modern football has spread to all parts of the world and is an indispensable part of human everyday life.
