Nursery age presents the child as a small explorer of everything that surrounds and in his immeditate environment, that is the period from the first to the third year of life. Through the play child he gets to know the world around him and himself. Playing stimulates the child's creativity, curiosity, playfulness of thoughts and feelings, it is a spontaneous, biological and psychophysical activity of each child through which the child develops and learns. Emotions are important for personality development not only for adult but also for child. Emotional changes apper immediately after the birth of the child and develop and change how the child is growing up. They are short, spontaneous and nursery children are not able to control their own emotions. The basic emotions that have been most researched in early childhood are joy, anger, sadness and fear. Important role in stimulating children's emotions have adults, whether it is parent or teacher. Playing of the nursery child is symbolic game which is in the child's nature. In emotional development the child through various games, animations and stage puppets develops a positive image, prosocial behavior, encourages children's independence and plays an important role in therapy and serves as a therapeutic object. Children express their emotions best through playing and doll animation. The doll plays an important role in children's development because throught it and with it the child expresses his emotions. For a child not only a doll is an object of animation, but also any other objects or a toy in a children's environment. Stage puppets are divided into guignol, rod puppets, finger puppets, head puppets, shadow puppets, puppets, marionettes and others. The doll itself is only an object, but in by the hands of the animator-puppeteer who breathes soul into the puppet, it comes alive. It's with children important to encourage the development of puppet shows. Through various classes held throughout during the pedagogical years stage puppets were great helps in our work with children of nursery age.
