Abstract
Računalno razmišljanje smatra se ključnom vještinom za 21. stoljeće, što je prepoznato u mnogim državama koje ga uključuju u kurikulume vrtića i škola. Međutim, naglašena je potreba za boljom obukom budućih odgojitelja kako bi se te vještine mogle razvijati kod djece rane i predškolske dobi. Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati primjenu Cubetto robota u ranom i predškolskom odgoju, s naglaskom na zainteresiranost djece i razvoj računalnog mišljenja. Istraživanje je provedeno na 21 djece u vrtiću Jaglac u Đurđenovcu. Rezultati su pokazali da je zabilježena velika zainteresiranost djece za robota, aktivno sudjelovanje u timskom radu i snalažljivost tijekom aktivnosti. Utvrđeno je da su aktivnosti s Cubetto robotom pomogle djeci u razvijanju vještina poput rješavanja problema, logičkog razmišljanja, sekvencioniranja i osnovnih algoritamskih koncepata. Također, poboljšane su njihove sposobnosti suradnje i komunikacije. Zaključeno je da istraživanje ukazuje na potencijal Cubetto robota kao alata za razvoj računalnog razmišljanja kod djece te se preporučuje daljnja implementacija sličnih tehnologija u obrazovne kurikulume i kontinuirana obuka odgojitelja.
Abstract (english)
Computational thinking is considered a key skill for the 21st century, which has been recognized in many countries that include it in kindergarten and school curricula. However, there is an emphasized need for better training of future educators so that these skills can be developed in early and preschool children. The aim of the research was to examine the application of the Cubetto robot in early and preschool education, with an emphasis on children's interest and the development of computational thinking. The research was conducted on 21 children in the Jaglac kindergarten in Đurđenovac. The results showed that there was great interest among children for the robot, active participation in teamwork, and resourcefulness during the activities. It was found that activities with the Cubetto robot helped children develop skills such as problem-solving, logical thinking, sequencing, and understanding basic algorithmic concepts. Their abilities in cooperation and communication were also improved. It was concluded that the research indicates the potential of the Cubetto robot as a tool for developing computational thinking in children. Therefore, further implementation of similar technologies in educational curricula and continuous training of educators are recommended.
